Video Guidance
Having the right video is key to the recruiting process. Coaches want to learn everything they can about athletes before recruiting them and the best way to do this is by watching their videos.
FieldLevel has spoken to dozens of college coaches about what they want to see AND what they don’t want to see in an athlete’s video. Because each sport has different recommendations for what an athlete’s video should include, we’ve written articles to help athletes to create the best videos possible.
As we speak with more college coaches, we will continue to add more articles about making the best videos.

When we create video, is there a specific format we should use? Also, does it matter if the video is shot with an iPhone or will we need a video camera?
Hi Allen! Thank you for your question and patience with our reply. Your videos can take almost any format on FieldLevel including .mp4, .mov, etc. You can also upload a video link from YouTube, Hudl, etc onto your timeline. Additionally, it does not matter what the video is shot on, as long as the video is high quality enough for a coach to clearly see what’s going on in the video! All of my film is on Hudl. Is there a way I can add a film from Hudl to Fieldlevel or leave a link to my Hudl profile?
Hi Audrey! Thank you for your question.
You can upload or add your video links directly from your profile page.
Select the “Add Video” button from your profile page and select either the upload option, or if you are trying to upload video links from Hudl or YouTube, select the website/URL option.
